ALPHA WALKS
WITH FIN
WHAT ARE "ALPHA WALKS WITH FIN"
Alpha Walks with Fin is a new service I intend to run every week through Spring & Summer 2025. It's a 1-hour session that includes a light walk with myself (Duncan) and Fin focusing on allowing people and/or their dogs in gaining more confidence around larger breed dogs or German Shepherd's specifically.
The service is tailored towards dogs (and people) who feel anxious or scared around larger bread dogs. Whether you or your dog(s) are specifically anxious around German Shepherd's or just generally larger dogs, Fin has helped many people overcome their fears along with helping to support and developed more confidence in some of my customers dogs!​​

I always allocate time for me & Fin to enjoy walks around my work, and quite often we cross paths with some lovely people enjoying the same walk! I have become fairly good at recognising other people's body language when they see Fin, and always ensure I give them the space they need if they appear anxious. However recently, more and more nervous people have asked if they can say hello to him as they want to overcome their fear of larger dogs. I always welcome anyone to say hello and we chat about what lead them to be anxious or fearful around large dogs. It's incredibly wholesome watching someone overcome their fear and have the confidence to say hello, so I want to offer this to others who may just need an opportunity like this.

CAPACITY
Currently, to ensure each session focuses on quality rather than quantity, the maximum capacity of dogs for each session is set to 3 (4 including Fin) - The number of people who may attend has no limit, but if you're bringing a football team with you, please let me know :)

There is also no age requirement or limit - I have full insurance valid for all ages.
WHEN & WHERE
Sessions are held every week on Saturday, 10:00 - 11:00.

The current meeting location is FINGLE BRIDGE (EX20 6PW) with it having multiple walks and a large car park. The specific meeting point will be confirmed to those who have registered their attendance and plan to join us!

It's FREE!
I know we rarely see the word FREE in this day and age with everything going up in price, however I think it's important to offer this service free of charge as I love knowing Fin & I have helped someone overcome their fear!
